“THREE MAN ARMY” Art Exhibit Reception Saturday, January 16th at 7:00PM-10:00PM On Saturday, January 16th from 7:00pm to 10:00pm, The Gallery Club is proud to present the art exhibit “THREE MAN ARMY” featuring artists Gary Propper, David Burton, and Bruce Reynolds. Although most noted as a world championship surfer and entertainment industry guru, The Gallery will showcase The Artist, Gary Propper. A master of collage art, Gary has shown in big galleries in Los Angeles and sold his collage art for many years to fans around the world. The messages in his art focus on genuinely spreading peace and love. David Burton has amazed people with his playful and at times poignant pop assemblage art. He has won awards locally and nationally in 3-D art for originality and public appeal. Curator Claudia Pastorius comments, “Burton takes images ingrained in our minds from the bombardment of mass consumer culture and redefines their meaning in mesmerizing compositions that are alive, humorous, insightful, and innovative.” Bruce Reynolds’ sense of space, symmetry, surf, and positive intent have earned him awards in sculpture at juried show around the country, a place in many prestigious permanent collections, and a stunning solo show at Brevard Art Museum in 2007, “Running With Scissors”. His assemblage art possesses strength in simplicity. With clever use of machine parts and found objects he creates clean compositions and thought-provoking figures and forms. Each artist has a unique vision and artistic techniques for sharing it. What they have in common is a love for surfing, soulful messages, quick humor, and the use of found objects and images. “They each love to take the world apart, and put it back together!” That is the Three Man Army. The show promises to be aesthetically and energetically provocative. The art exhibit opening event will feature an opportunity to meet and greet with the artists, complimentary gourmet appetizers provided Thematics Catering, musical entertainment by Two DJ's Pedro and Loammi Contreras, and a cash bar for beer and wine. The Gallery will show works by Reynolds, Burton, and Propper from January 16th until March 6th. |

Upcoming Art Exhibit: Visionary Surrealism by c. Cambrea |
|
|
On Friday, November 13th starting at 6:30pm, The Gallery Club is proud to present artist solo show, “Surreal Visionary Art by c. Cambrea.” Cristine recently re-located to Melbourne, FL from Vermont to be with family. She has had a very successful career showing and selling out shows in Connecticut, Vermont, and Manhattan – where she is originally from. The style of her art, “Visionary Surrealism”, could appear like abstract or non-representational art. There are fluid color fields, shapes and forms, and very detailed drawings into the paint. When you delve deeper into Cristine’s art making process - you discover that the artist has developed a unique symbolism in her art, a beautiful language that tells a story of spiritual awareness and learning. What we see in her art is not a world different from our own – but another aspect of it! Cristine has the ability to articulate her creative process, what she sees, and how she shares it with the viewer with amazing clarity. It is this strong point of view that has impressed art collectors worldwide, including celebrities. About the way she sees the world and her art Cristine says, "If there were a special camera or glasses we put on to see people and things not just by their physical attributes but also see their experiences, their troubles, their sicknesses, their connectedness or lack of to everything else around them I think it would look very similar to one of my paintings. I don’t draw what a person looks like I draw a map of those experiences, feelings and energy and the relationship between their physical, emotional and energetic environments." Cristine’s impressive exhibit record includes being featured on Emmy Award winning Current TV, solo show at “Artsee” gallery in New York, solo show at “Gallery in the Woods” in Vermont, ArtExpo NYC 2008, showing at the Varga Gallery in New York, Lazy Pear gallery in Vermont, and Space 29 in Ft. Myers. She has been the cover story in both Art Map Burlington magazine and Lifestyle magazine. Enjoy watching her TV special on the gallery website: TheGalleryMelbourne.com The Opening Reception is from 6:30pm to 9:30pm Friday, November 13th. The artist enjoys the superstition affiliated with the date! The exhibit will show from November 13th to December 5th. The opening reception will be a chance to meet the artist and enjoy the art show, live music by Mark DeSouza, complimentary appetizers, and cash bar for wine & beer. |

PANTHER ~ The Journey ...Solo Show... ART EXHIBIT Opening Reception Friday, October 16th 6:30-8:30PM On Friday, October 16th starting at 6pm, The Gallery Club is proud to present artist solo show, “Panther: The Journey.” Panther has been painting and showing her art in Brevard County for over 16 years. Her art has reached wide audiences with highly successful Wyland Galleries at Boardwalk, Polynesian, and Porto Fine Disney locations. She has also amazed locals and tourists at Café Tu Tu Tango in Orlando at art shows like the Melbourne Masters of Art Festival and many more local venues.
Panther’s journey began as a young child in Chicago and included frequent travels and sea adventures on her family boat. She felt an early impulse to paint in a unique way and to translate her imagination to reality with entrepreneurial flair. Instead of having a lemonade stand like other children, Panther sold her hand painted rocks. Her natural artistic affinity with rock and stone matured into the development of a “Rock” making technique of plaster and composite materials that has become a strong base for her signature style charcoal drawings and paintings. For over a decade now, she has combined Old and New world styles and renderings in her rock encasings of which she says, “This work is the Deconstruction of Old World Frescos, into two and three dimensional New World Interpretation that enables a more complete story to be told.”
What is Panther’s story? In her art she finds spirit and purpose to share with the world. She reflects, “I believe ART is the perfect vehicle to help bring our society, as a whole, into a higher consciousness, and to vibrate on a higher, more peaceful level.” The subject matter she chooses intimately expresses her soulful journey. She paints very tasteful nudes and silhouettes, classic subjects like wine and fruit, and the sea alive in ocean waves, mermaids, sailing ships, and seashells. She is an incredible artist to commission for personalized artwork. She shows insight into the nature of people when she paints them, immortalizing what is interesting, important and beautiful to the individual.
Very recently her work has taken a contemporary turn with new mixed media creations. She is working with natural wood, painting mixed abstract and representational compositions – then sealing the wood with a high gloss resin for a thick clear glossy finish. The result is sleek, simple, beautiful works that are again novel in use of materials and also appealing in a purely artistic aesthetic. In her new solo show The Gallery Club will feature both her fresco “Rock” artworks and the newer high gloss wood creations. We see in her work a celebration of woman and the female body, a fascinating sea journey, and an eagerness to explore and share more inspiration and innovation in art. ### Up High In the heart of downtown Melbourne - your new favorite place to be...THE GALLERY CLUB!701 E.
